As a Software Engineer and Systems Engineer, I’ve cultivated a strong foundation in platform engineering, DevOps, and cloud technologies. At Open Source Labs, I enhanced infrastructure for major clients like the Linux Foundation using Terraform, Chef, and other tools. My tenure at Lithia and Driveway further sharpened my skills, where I developed APIs to optimize business processes and boost operational efficiency.
In addition to these roles, I'm 'engineering a solution that focuses on AI-powered inventory management, and led an open-source project to build a classroom polling platform. These experiences allowed me to manage software projects, lead teams, and understand the nuances of the many trade-offs in software development. My time as a mentor at Coding With Kids also strengthened my ability to collaborate and teach.

Previously working for Open Source Labs has taught immeasurable amounts about working with infrastructure. The day to day involved managing and deploying virtualized environments for clients through the infrastructure-as-code tool Chef. In addition, to deploying higher profile projects such as a high-availability PostgreSQL cluster with automatic failover capabilites.
I worked part-time whilst attending University continuing to work as a part of the same team during my internship. Unfortunately, this was short-lived as the position was eliminated during a reorganization due to macro economic conditions.
During my internship I worked as a part of a team developing internal tools supporting business critical operations such as processing loans/liens. Specifically, I developed APIs for these operations.
I was an Instructor teaching programming fundamentals throughout my senior year of high school. I had the opportunity to teach at a variety of schools around and in the greater Portland area. The majority of my time was spent both developing curriculum and teaching to youth concepts ranging from basic conditionals to programming Arduinos in C.
